Jenna Fischer is best known for her character Pam Beesly on the acclaimed television series The Office, for which she received the Emmy nomination for the Best Supporting Actress and Two SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance in the Ensemble Comedy.
In Fort Wayne Indiana, she spent most of her childhood at St. Louis Missouri. Jenna was awed by her mother, Anne, perform in the church when she was young and was able to instill a love of theater and performance.
Fischer is an actress with theater training. Off-Broadway's production of Reasons to Be Happy was written and directed by Neil LaBute, with Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb and Fred Weller. After starring in Steve Martin's most recent play Meteor Shower (an absurdist comedy co-written by Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg), she performed in the record-breaking Old Globe Theatre's world premiere.
The cast of the show, including Angela Kinsey (the co-star of Fischer) as well as her real life best friend, Angela Kinsey from The Office, started a podcast in October, called Office Ladies. The show has since become extremely popular and is now in the Top Ten every single week. The first year, it received over 200 million downloads. Office Ladies was awarded the iHeart Radio Podcast of the year in January 2021.
She's the author of The Actor's Life An Actor's Survival Guide (coauthored with Angela Kinsey) The book tells her tale of relocating from St. Louis to Hollywood and becoming an actor is outlined. The Office BFF's : Stories of The Office by Two Best Friends That Were There is as well a personal memoir about Angela Kinsey and her relationship while working on The Office.
